Why should I book my entertainment with Artisan Entertainment?

When you book an act with Artisan Entertainment, you have the security and peace of mind of dealing with a professional company. Every year we supply live entertainment to hundreds of events, functions, venues and weddings. All of the acts listed on our website are made up of professional musicians and entertainers who make their living out of this industry. We also provide the peace of mind of a legally binding contract, this means that an artiste or performer once booked cannot suddenly cancel the booking unless of extreme circumstances or force majore. The force majeure clause from the contract states:

“In cases of ‘Force Majeure’ (which shall be known as war, fire, death, illness or other capacity certified by a properly qualified medical practitioner, epidemic, accident, civil commotion, national calamity, order of Government or Local Authority having jurisdiction in the matter, changes in law, foreign government policy, act of God), which are not attributable to any act or failure to take preventive action by the ‘artist’ or ‘client’, then the ‘artist’ or ‘client’ may cancel this booking without penalty other than loss of deposit.”

What happens if an artist or performer cancels due to extreme circumstances?

If this happens we are there to help, we will work on your behalf to solve the problem and make sure that a suitable replacement is found in order to fulfil the booking. Our booking contract includes a mobile which you can call 7 days a week if you have any problems.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes unless you are paying the full balance of the performance at the time of booking you will be required to pay deposit in order to secure the entertainment required.

When am I required to pay the remaining balance?

You are required to pay the remaining balance no later than 7 working days before the event, if you are paying by cheque then please allow extra time as the funds must be cleared 7 days before the event. Alternatively you can settle the balance direct with the act on the day of the performance.

Can I see the artist live before booking?

In most circumstances this is not possible as we work with bands and artists specialising in performances at private functions. By the nature of the fact that they are private, we cannot obtain access. Bands who regularly play at pubs are probably not the type you’d hire for an important private party as pubs don’t pay the money required for top quality acts.
On the very rare occasion that an artist might be doing a public show, it’s impossible to guarantee that by the time the show takes place, that the artist will still be available for your event.
